Why are my friends single?

Clearly, some people are single because they choose to be. They are simply not interested in being in a serious relationship at this time in their life. Others are single due to the circumstances of their lives. The point of this article isnt to stereotype all single women or men or to put anyone in a box.

Sociologists have documented that men and women can indeed just be friends and that there are actually benefits that come with cross-sex friendships — like learning from the other side how to best attract a mate — that you cant get from same-sex friendships.
