What is the national food of Syria?

Kubbeh (or kibbeh) is the name given to a related group of dishes often described as being Syrias national dish. It comes in the form of deep-fried, baked, grilled, or raw bulgur wheat combined together with spiced minced lamb to form a paste which is then shaped.

Is Syrian food spicy?

On the whole food in Syria,and Lebanon, like most mediteranean countries are not spicy. If you want hot spicy foods you will find that in India and far East. They use many herbs, garlic and fresh vegetables!
