Question: How much does Wedgewood cost?

How much does Wedgwood cost?

How much do they cost? Prices can vary depending on the age, color, pattern, and condition of the piece. An entire set of dishes or a rare vase could cost around $1,000 or even more, while a set of plates or set of saucers might only cost a few hundred.

Is Wedgewood always marked?

Early Wedgwood works may be unmarked, but the presence of the correct mark is an indication that the piece is genuine and should allow you to determine its true age. Before 1781 very few unmarked pieces can be correctly attributed to Wedgwood.

How can you tell if Wedgewood is real?

Look at the base for the impressed name Wedgwood. If it is stamped in individual lower case letters, that points to a date before 1769, but usually it will be in capitals. If you see the word England, that dates the piece to after 1891. Pieces marked Made in England belong to the 20th century.
