While we wish there were a simple yes or no answer to this, unfortunately thats not the case. With approximately 10-20 percent of patients, some of the skins pigment does indeed return on its own and white patches disappear. But in other cases, vitiligo is a lifelong condition.

Can a person with vitiligo get a tattoo?
